Women in Motorsport: why raceX is a space for them too

FROM THE raceBOX
Motorsport is one of the sports with the lowest female representation in the world. And this does not come only from prejudice, and the passion is there. It's because for years the environment has struggled to make space in teams, in the paddock, and in the conversation.
At the Lab, we decided that wouldn't be our problem.
An environment that takes nothing for granted
When a girl walks into the Lab for the first time, she isn't met with surprise, she isn't looked at differently and isn't asked if she's sure she's in the right place.

She's welcomed like anyone else: with a question. "What do you want to learn?"
Building a genuinely inclusive environment for women in motorsport isn't about hanging a slogan on a wall. For us it means making concrete choices every day: in the language used, in the approach taken, in how courses and sessions are structured.
Passion has no gender
One of the things that has surprised us most over the years is how often the girls who come to the Lab arrive with a passion that's already fully formed, one they've often nurtured quietly, because there was never a place to express it openly.
Motorsport had fascinated them all along. They just never felt included enough to take the step.
At the Lab, that step becomes easier. Because the environment allows for it, and because there are already other girls who have taken it before them.

What we're building
At the Lab we go beyond the simple counseling, we build a pathway. From the first simulation session, through sports driving courses, all the way to support for those who've already made their start in karting or other categories.
Women in motorsport don't need special treatment. They need the same opportunities, the same tools, the same quality environment we offer everyone. And to know that there's space for them too, as a natural part of this world.
Because motorsport is a beautiful sport. And it belongs to anyone with the desire to live it.
